Book News...

Since a little mishap in April, the posts have not been made as planned. Fortunately, the great books keep being released. Let's take a look at some of the great and addictive reads that are out there.... Deborah Cooke has an interesting series "Dragonfire" which premiered with Kiss of Fire.
For millennia, the shape-shifting dragon warriors known as the Pyr have lived peacefully as commanders of the four elements and guardians of the earth's treasures. But now the final reckoning between the Pyr, who count humans among the earth's treasures, and the Slayers, who would eradicate both humans and the Pyr who protect them, is about to begin…
These three titles are currently available and a fourth titled Winter Kiss Hits the shelves in November 2009.
Deborah Cooke brings her continuing story to life with strong characters and addictive action. Sexy dragons, heroines that can tame them and gritty danger at almost every turn. 4.2 out of 5 stars!

Emma Holly has introduced us to the Fitz Clares in their ground breaking "Chronicles".
Kissing Midnight (Book One) hit the shelves running in June 2009! Edmond Fitz Clare is a sexy professor with a big heart. But the secrets that Edmond has been keeping from his family are about to come out into the open. And life for the Fitz Clare's will never be the same.
This series (currently slated as a Trilogy) is a page turner. The bittersweet storyline, the romance, sex and character interplay pulls the reader in and gives the illusion of being a witness to the events as they unfold.

In July of 2009, Emma gives us the second installment of the Fitz Clare story in Breaking Midnight, which is no less complelling than Kissing Midnight. I love that Emma Holly is consistent in her writing and keeps the storyline running in an easy to follow sequence. There are no Hard Left Turns to disorient the reader and leave you feeling like "What Just Happened".

With all the craze over the Twilight Saga, I was a little hesitant to pick-up another Vampire story. But, I have to say, I am really glad that I did. I can't wait to see what happens in the conclusion of the Fitz Clare Chronicle, Saving Midnight which is due out in August 2009.

Without reading the conclusion, I am still willing to give this 4.5 out of 5 stars. I have faith that Emma Holly will deliver an explosive close to the Fitz Clare Chronicles.
